Serving the Homeless in Northeast Ohio with Meals, Shelter, & Clothing | Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation | Faith Based Rescue Mission in Akron, Ohio
The Haven of Rest, a faith based rescue mission, serves as a light to the homeless community in and around the Akron Ohio area. Offering food, shelter, safety, drug rehabilitation and most of all hope to those most in need.

Harvest Home Celebrates 29 Years of Serving Women and Children

" I had no hope at all when I came here but things are different now. My new life in Christ has begun, and it's filled with hope."

" It doesn't feel like a shelter at all. You know you are safe and everyone here makes you feels so loved."

"I have learned that God has forgiven me for all my sins and I don't have to live with the guilt anymore."

"...Give God a chance. He can change your life."

"Harvest Home does feel like a real home. The people here care about me and love me."

"We (my children and I) will always praise the Lord for a place called Harvest Home and we will pray for the mothers and children currently staying there."

"... the staff did not judge me or look down on me because I was homeless."

CANNED FOOD DRIVE
If you are interested in doing a special project for Haven of Rest, our most urgent need would be canned foods. To help meet this urgent need, your business, school, church, or organization could hold a canned food drive. Items especially needed are canned vegetables, cereal, canned tuna or salmon, and canned fruits. A secondary need is for personal care items like toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, etc. For more information, please call Rose Rose at 330-535-1563.

Please click here for a complete list of items needed.
